Hi Pat, The whole assembly can come out from above, I recall just two bolts that hold the bracket to the side curtain. You might have to put vise-grips on one side or the other as it is difficult to be two places at once. I will take pics of mine tonite and send to you. once it is out, the bottom oil pan comes off with the retained wingbolt loosened. Clean the filter media out with solvent, and there is usually an arrow, or fill mark that is usually the first "lip" or ring above544 the bottom of the pan. Fill to the line with motor oil.
