I have been experimenting with John Deere corn head grease. It becomes a liquid as it is being moved or stirred and as soon as it stops it becomes thick again. This prevents leaking while it is parked but performs like a gear oil while in motion. I saw it mentioned in some IH dana 44 forum and after some research I gave it a try. It doesnt leak...thats for sure. But I can swear by the long term results on reliability.
