Reverse flow is when the coolant goes to the cylinder head first and then to the block. Going to the block first is 'conventional'. This has nothing to do with the direction of flow in the radiator.
Craig is on the right track about the radiator. The radiator has a divider between the left and right half upper tank with an opening (the bottom tank). Coolant goes in the top, flows to the bottom tank and then to the other half, travels upward and out the other fitting. Some modern radiators are also triple pass.
