I'd be fine with no terminal drops. Thanks for all your insights Bill. I'll make sure and ask the company that they hire what their plan is. If it will be set down somewhere for who knows how long, I'll pass on it and have it moved myself.

: Not necessarily. I personally never dropped
: cars off anywhere or changed trucks on
: people.... but I was doing high end stuff
: enclosed.
:
: I would prefer to ship it with someone who
: was using 1 truck to pick it up and deliver
: it, no truck changes along the way. It's
: always best for 1 guy to be responsible for
: your truck.... no terminal drops or
: "test drives" along the way
:
: Of course the truck makes stops along the
: way to pick up and drop off other people's
: stuff... but you get that idea.

: Thanks Bill. Am I right in assuming that my
: truck may sit in a lot for a day or two or
: three between Omaha and Birmingham?

: Vince,
: I used to do this for a living. Too many
: miles on my butt to keep it going, but it
: was fun while it lasted.
:
: If you want someone to handle the move try
: my friend Dave @ Transport Masters (561)
: 482-7789 and he can arrange the whole thing.
: He takes a deposit of $150 when the move
: is booked with one of his trucks, and the
: remainder is paid @ delivery. Super-easy.
:
: I have an M-38A1 on one of his trucks right
: now somewhere between BFUtah and PA.

: Guys, I'm going to be moving from Omaha to
: Birmingham, Al later this month. My company
: will provide car moving for my FC, but I'm
: nervous/anxious about having someone move
: it. I'm guessing it would involve a couple
: of stops in lots between here and there.
: I'd like the thoughts, suggestions and
: experiences from the group. My Mini Cooper
: won't pull it down here.
: Thanks
: Vince
