: Rob,
:
: Great looking truck! If you are ever out my
: way, stop in to chat. I also update all my
: Jeep activity on my FB page:

:
: Keep an eye on my progress over there, I do
: have a few under construction. I try to
: keep updated pics. I had a 15,000 mile
: original 1965 CJ-5 slated for restoration
: next, but it just got bumped by the FC! I
: hauled the CJ-5 over to my warehouse and
: left the FC in its place at the shop.
: haha... I can't wait to drive this thing.
:
: Your FC is a cool color, can't say I've ever
: seen that one. Is that paint original? At
: some point I need to see an original 2-tone
: FC to figure out which parts get painted
: "body" color and which get painted
: white (silver in your case).

: Bill,
:
: Welcome to the FC- world. Lots of great
: folks here. I'm sure you've been to
: http://thefcconnection.com/
:
: I have an FC-170 DRW that I've been trying
: to work on for the past 6 years. Gotten the
: frame engine trans painted but it is a
: struggle to find the time or space to work.
: I just moved and placed the truck in storage
: till I can figure it out. Close to jumping
: ship. Here are some photos that you can
: hopefully see:

:
: Anyway, I am in Merion Station PA, working
: in Morgantown; about an hour from you in
: Lancaster. I would like to see your
: progress and maybe you can inspire me to
: keep going.

: Still to far from me here in Washington.

: Blaine- Thank you for the VIN info, I was
: posting at the same time.
:
: The truck was in Indianapolis, but I brought
: it back to Lancaster, PA.

: I have seen different color wheels too. Red
: cab, red wheels. The middle part of the DRW
: serial number tells if it's factory 3 speed
: -13 or 4 speed -15 Where are you located
: Bill?

: That looks like a nice solid DRW. Good find!
: Maybe a previous owner replace the T-90 with
: a T-98? So, the 8,000 GVW on the tag might
: have been correct when new.
:
: It's hard to say about the blue wheels.
: There is no "always" with Willys.
: The early Willys "always" had red
: wheels, but I've learned that was not always
: accurate.
:
: There are enough seats out there, you will
: find a passenger seat, just keep looking.
: If you go to a roundup, someone might bring
: one for you.
:
: Definitely, start tearing into the engine.
: Who says men can't multi-task? (LOL.)
:
: I enjoyed the photos, thanks for sharing,
: **Steve E.**

: Hi guys,
:
: I am not new to Willys, but just bought my
: first FC... it is a '59 FC-170 DRW 4-speed.
: I am very happy to have this FC, I have ben
: searching for a DRW truck for a while. The
: last one to come for sale (within reason)
: was 3 miles from my house, but the ad I
: found was 2 years old and the owner had it
: crushed by the time I called him. Bummer.
: My new truck's pic is attached below (if it
: works)
:
: Some interesting discoveries already:
:
: 1. This is a 4-speed truck and the GVWR on
: the tag (pass seat area) shows 8000 lbs.
: Shouldn't it be 9k?
: 2. The wheels are painted blue like the body
: and appear to be the original paint. I
: thought these were all black or white.
: Most seem to be white.
: 3. My truck is missing the passenger seat,
: so I am in the market for one of those.
:
: I hope to restore this thing as soon as my
: '65 Tuxedo Park CJ-5A is completed, but I
: will probably start tearing this one down in
: advance since the p.o. removed and
: disassembled the motor already.
:
: If the pic doesn't work, you can see my
: project pic and updates here:
