Hey Scott,
How about a picture or two of your new toy for the gallery? Don't let that 6 volt system scare you. I have a '57 FC-150 with the 6 volt system and it's the most dependable starter that I own! My former best starter was the old firewood FC-150. It had a 6 volt starter in a 12 volt system. Just couldn't crank her to long!
