Are you just after new springs and/or softer ride or would used be OK?

: Thanks. Mine is narrow track, 1 3/4"
: wide, 7 leafs front, and 9 leafs back. I
: don't think the FC will ever haul a load
: again, so I am more intersted in stance,
: wheel clearance and ride.

: Narrow or wide track? Narrow will have
: springs
: under the frame, wide has outboard mounted
: springs. If it's narrow you may be able to
: use CJ springs.. I've done preliminary
: measuring on mine and they may fit. Wide
: track's I think you may have to go
: custom...but someone else with more wide
: track experience may say different. Oh..and
: welcome to the site..I'm in washington as
: well.

: being new at these FC also one might want a
: second opinion, I have been wrong before, It
: is my understanding that the narrow track fc
: was built on a CJ frame. See if the springs
: are the same size, how wide are your leaf
: springs? Count the leafs and my guess is it
: would work, but check this site again after
: the holiday weekend and someone with more
: experience than me will answer your
: question. Good luck. Ed Browning

: Hi,
:
: I have to replace all four springs in my
: "58 FC-150 (11 broken leafs!) Quotes
: from 3 local spring shops run from $850 to
: $1,000. Web sites run $600+ with shipping.
: I found a possible deal at JC Whitney - all
: 4 springs for $400. and free shipping. The
: problem is they do not list the FC. They do
: offer a range of springs for the '58 CJ5
: including 7 & 9 leaf ones like my FC.
:
: Will these work?
