Thanks for the information. I will check my master cylinder for those numbers. Yes my truck does have the vaccum boost brakes. I will check that as well. Will keep everyone posted as the truck comes back to life.

: Chris,
: On the side of the master cylinder is a
: stamped casting part number, on the other
: side is the bore diameter number, this is a
: Wagner brand part number, it is avaliable at
: the Napa Warehouse in larger cities. Most
: master cylinders can be rebuilt, If not
: avaliable in your city go directly to Wagner
: and find out where near you it is avaliable.
: Do not get one for anything else, you need
: the correct one for the DRW, it is larger
: than the SRW master cylinder. The
: Speedometer mounting is different to clear
: the larger taller DRW master cylinder brake
: fluid resevoir.
: If you do not have any master cilinder in
: the truck, someone here on the forun that
: has a DRW will get that numer that is on a
: DRW.
: The dual Master Cylinder set up that Ed B.
: refered to is a dual inline master cylinder,
: that Craig posted for Steve L. posted is
: good for what he is doing, small discs /
: 11" drums.
: For the DRW of 1961 the vaccum booster power
: brake was an option, is there a tank and
: hydrovac unit behind the drivers seat? If
: you have that on your truck all those parts
: will also need to be rebuilt in addition to
: the DRW master cylinder. You need to match
: your DRW master cylinder to have the correct
: pedal movement/pressure/volume to fill
: larger wheel Cylinders that are on the DRW,
: the DRW brakes when in good working
: condition are great.

: I have a 61 DRW that I getting back on the
: road with future plans of a complete
: restore. I am new to the FC world. My local
: parts store is have problems finding the
: master cylinder for the DRW application.
: What is the correct master cylinder for the
: DRW truck and where do I get one. Will the
: Wagoner master cylinder for the standard 170
: fit, or is the DRW truck different?
:
: Thanks
