I can only go by what I've seen from long time collectors of FC's. It seems to me that the wide-tracks are more sought after probably because of the improvements made to them over the production run. And their production numbers decreased as the years went on. Remember, in 1957 alone over 6600 FC-150 narrow-tracks were built, making them the most common FC out there. I personally have both models but am really drawn to the funkiness of the narrow-track. Yea, they're more unstable than the wide-tracks, but how many of us are really taking our trucks out and using them off-road? When you get your narrow-track out there in the public eye people just can't believe that a company would produce anything that looks so "Top Heavy." I say "The funkier the better!"

*Side note: The highest price ever brought for a Forward Control truck that I've seen was a 1958 FC-150 Narrow-track ($38,000 at Barrett Jackson this year)
