I thought I might caution people that are buying an aftermarket steering wheel, because they can't find an original, new 17" stock replacement steering wheels are avaliable for the small horn button FC-150, FC-170, and the large horn button steering wheels as found on later FC-170 / M- 677-79.
The imediate thought hit me that Doug you may need to stick with the 17" diameter steering wheel that is found in the FC-150, Grant and other aftermarket steering wheels are only avaliable in 13"-15" diameter, in theory,it doesn't seem like a lot of difference, except that the mechanical multiplication of the reduced gear ratio means a bunch more effort is required to turn the wheels. If you still want an aftermarket wheel, like is on my new M-679, I am using a Speedway Motors, Dirt track flat dish steering wheel, it fits on the grant hub adapter kit, I bought from Acme. it is the same as is on sprint cars, it is 17 1/2" and has a thicker foam grip.
