-I think that you can install 12x2 brakes from a 5 bolt Gladiator on a FC 170 if you swap backing plates and drums. These are also the "self energizing" bendix design, which is better than the fixed lower pin brakes.
However, You still don't have great brakes, so attention to Jesse's warning is recommended.
