Recently E*Trade (a discount Broker) started deducting 28% as WITHHOLDING from receipts on stock sales and Dividends. The account is for a Revocable Trust, (ELDEANA TRUST), and I use my Social Security Number for tax purposes, I am the Grantor/Trustee/beneficiary of the Trust. Eldeana is my daughter and will become the Trustee/beneficiary at my death.
The account had been going since 2002, no problem.
This 28% withholding started in October 2009.
