I was wondering if anyone with aftermarket bulbs has melted the clips that connect onto the bottom of the bulb. I bought a set of bulbs that were each 80 watt, and noticed that the left headlight just quit working. I looked at it, and the clip along with the prongs inside of it were melted. So I ran to the Honda dealer, bought a new clip, and lower wattage bulbs(55 watt), and now, 5 months later, the same problem on the same side, not to mention I'm running out of wire to splice into more wiring. This is a very annoying problem especially when you leave FOR and leave FROM work both in the dark. I will talk to the dealer tommorrow and see what he would charge (big mistake, I know!), but I've already fixed it once and found it to be a big pain in the ass, so if it's a big problem, just rather do it this way. But.. its also causing other malfunctions too, such as my dome light, clock, and key chimer all do not come on untill after I've been driving about 10 minutes or so. So, ANY help would be greatly appreciated.
