Posted by JDMspoonEG6 Usually the LSvtec conversion will run around the price range $1200 Vtec topend(More like b16 head...GSR/Type R a bit more) Price:$1200(CA pricing) Keeping it short and simple: For the conversion to perform well...you will need to use a thin head gasket. An OEM one with just the middle layer is fine! Higher compression. Also, You want to raise the compression with higher compression piston.(type R or aftermarket) LS rod bolts are weak...recommmend using ARP! Also, wont hurt to get stronger rods. Or shot peened stock rods. Getting a Type R oil pump is helpful with more oil pressure! You can use your stock internals but why since the head off might as well built it to perform!=) So much more to this conversion. Dowel pins, stronger valve springs, etc... Just search LSvtec or Frankenstein with your search engine! Plenty of articles with details on installation on this set up. Fast set up!

GSR(b18c) head is a bit more expensive/harder to come by then the b16a. I have a friend that selling his 98 GSR head. Perfect condition except missing cams/cam gears. He asking $550 plus shipping.
-Stainless steel lines and custom Earl's fittings
-Type-R oil pump(a must for this set up)
-Vtec Ecu
-Labor for the conversion
Alot of ppl are moving towards the b20/vtec off the crv! Both set up is still awesome!
