Posted by Len Pellman Thanks for the URL. I have put it in the form of a link here: http://www.geocities.com/Tokyo/Pagoda/8187/NewSeitei.htm. Owners of Flashing Steel should immediately see a similarity between the Seitei Kata, "Sougiri," and the Eishin-Ryu waza, "Soumakuri." It looks like there are slight differences in stance and cutting angle, but the two are based on the same concept. Similarly, the Seitei Kata, "Nukiuchi," appears to be simply a standing version of the Eishin-Ryu waza, "nukiuchi," which is performed in seiza. I will be mailing Shimabukuro Shihan some materials on the new book we are just finalizing, so I will include this information for him, and ask what his plans are about including Seitei Kata 11 and 12 in AAU competition. Thanks again for the update!
