My uncle has a samurai sword that his uncle aquired while serving in Japan. I was wondering how i can go about finding the history of this sword. Some books tell you to unwrap the handle, but I do not want to damage the sword. Is there any other way of identifing the craftsman?
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
