Posted by Max Roach I believe that he is affiliated with the Canadian Kendo Federation... Who in turn recieves its authority from the All Japan Iaido Federation (he's legit.). It is important to note that there are diferences (albeit minor ones) between the Iaijutsu and Iaido versions of Muso Jikiden Eishin Ryu. The philosophical and stylistic differences may or may not be to your liking. Checking 'em out cant hurt. Also, if there is someone who is teaching Iaijutsu in Texas, Ray Sensei might know them. I dont know where Denton is in relation to Dallas but it would really be worth giving John Ray Sensei a call. He is ranked nana dan (7th Degree) in Muso Jikiden Iaido. He has satelite schools as well... so he can probably either help you or point you in the right direction.
Here is his contact info:

If you find yourself in Salt Lake City, give us a call and/or come train with us at the Yama Oroshi Dojo. You can find us on the web. There are a couple of video clips on our site if you are interested in seeing some stylistic differences between the styles. I hope this helps!
