Hi All,
Im looking into getting a couple terriers for hunting small game: coons, skunk, and whatever we run into. I live in S.W. Montana and will primarily be hunting river bottoms, on the flats and up in the mountain creeks. Most of the areas to be hunted are dense willow thickets, brush piles and old barns (structures). I really like the patterdales BUT I need ones that can FIND the game, they dont have to kill it. Me or my bulldogs will do that. So the terriers need to be able to work as a team, with no dog aggression. I have been looking into the Jagd or the Patterdale. I HEARD the jagd can find game easier, but tend to be a little dog aggressive. I also heard that its harder to find a good Jagd consistently. I dont really want to have to dig to my dogs its really rocky ground. Are there any patterdales that can fit the bill or do I just need a good Jagd? OR The larger Patts? Any breeders you all would recommend? The closer the better!
