Amaterasu was on her way home after an encounter with a wolf and another griffin, though he was of a different species. The white common griffin had paused at the bank of River Danson, where just on the other side was her home of Earth pack. She smiled as she looked across the river with her blue-green eyes to her home, only to become startled by the sudden appearance of one of her younger brothers.
Koli was a prankster, or at least he fancied himself one. And if he wasn't causing harmless trouble, he was causing harmful trouble. With the mixed dragon, there was never certainty. Koli was more true to his Blackwild heritage, taking after them in attitude and appearance, black scales and piercing yellow eyes. The only thing that gave him away as mixed were the dark blue scales and the red spikes down his back betrayed his blue back and red back heritage. Today, his was being harmless as he landed with utter silence behind Ama and gave a roared.
Ama jumped, immediately whirling about to see Koli laughing. She closed her eyes and shook her head, "Always a trouble maker, aren't you Koli?"
The nearly full grown dragon, easily the size of a large house with still some more room to grow, spoke between breaths and laughter, "Of course, Ama! Everyone else is busy with the new hatchlings, or hiding out somewhere, so I gotta have fun somehow." Amaterasu rolled her eyes, "Every the child even when you near adulthood." Koli snorted as the griffin turned around to face the water.
Eventually, he lumbered beside her and plopped down. While he easily towered over her, Ama was still his sister, and he'd be respectful to some degree as he struck up conversation about what had been happening recently.
