Black grit his teeth harder, the only healthy pup in the litter swept away by the river if he was alive now it would be a miracle. He flopped on the ground cold and wet, not wanting to look at Kumiko or the two remaining pups. "I'm sorry," He whispered looking up at the back of Kumiko, knowing that she was crying he walked over to her and nuzzled her putting her head under his chin. "I'll find him, I'm sure he's okay he's a tough pup." He said not really believing this himself, but Black at least wanted to find the pups body to make sure he wasn't alive.

Kunai was crying now she didn't understand what happen, all she heard was a splash and a few cries for help that was all. When her dad got back she pretty much gathered the whole story. "No not Shuri." She whimpered helplessly, attempting to find her other brother to confirm his absence. She crawled over to him finding his paws and placing her head on them. "I can't see but I know what happened." Went though her mind many times crying on her brother's paw.
