Black smiled at the laughter he had caused and the joy that the family seemed to have right now. Black then wondered how Knives would take to these siblings. But his worry vanished when he remembered how lazy he was and he was still in the pack lands when they left.
Shuriken scoffed loudly, "Its not that funny... is it?" the tricolor pup walked to the waters edge and looked at his reflection and laughed all of his fur from his shoulder blades to his forehead was put up against its normal flow. He laughed, but for some odd reason he liked the look, it suited him well. "I dunno I think its cool looking!" He said with a laugh, turning to face the group, "I think I'll leave it!"
Kunai wasn't really sure what had happened but with all the noise she had a vague idea what was going on. "Yeah shows Shuriken whose boss!"

Wading though the heavy current paws barely touching the bottom of the river bed was Knives. Grinning broadly with a slightly crazed expression on his face he continued to go along the edge. The water was freezing cold and Knives could barely handle the cold but his must, just a little longer he would do it. Finally what he had hoped for came true voices, and laughter lots of laughter. His grin became wider as he grabbed roots with his teeth then clawing the bank slowly made his way farther. He heard a young pups voice by the bank. "Perfect, just what I want." Just under the pup now Knives dug at the banks edge, holding into place with another root.
Placing is paws back on to the river bed he gave the root a hard yank and the ledge crumbled, becoming completely submerged Knives was washed down river fast still grinning madly.

Shuriken’s happy expression disappeared at the instant the dirt under his feet crumbled, like in slow motion he looked back over his shoulder to the water below him, eyes wide with fright. Then fell into the cold water instantly being pulled down river at the first hit. "Mommy, Dad HELP!" was all he managed before being pulled completely under and swept down the stream.
It seemed all to fast for the brute he couldn't get himself to move fast enough to save his son. "No Shuriken!' he yelled running to the bank and looking around for his son, not seeing him, he jumped in his height proving useful as he let the water and his legs push him down stream.

It was a long while when drenched and cold the large black mixed returned teeth clenched and eyes held tightly shut. "I couldn't find him." He growled mostly to himself. "No where."
