Hayden gave another laugh as she caught Kage inhaling the last of his meal. But at his question, she turned quiet to ponder. She didn't really think of anything she needed to do. She had abandoned Seg with Linta at the Hidden Springs, but she would have heard cries of agony by now if something wasn't going well. So, she dismissed returning. But before she could convey her lack of itinerary, there was an interrupting visitor. The bird caught her eye above the trees, and Hayden decided to greet Vala as best as she could.
"Oye, Vala!"
The greeting reached the bird, and Vala was pleased that she would have to do no more searching. Swooping down near ground level, Vala settled her talons gently on Hayden's shoulder. "Good day, Hayden! Actually, I have a message for you, Kage. Your human is worried about you and wants to be sure you are alright." Vala waited there for a chance for Kage to respond. Who know, maybe there was a reason that Kage wanted his human to think he was dead, or something.
