Kage chuckled, laying down beside Hayden with a smile. It hurt a little, his muscles sore and tired appreciated the relaxation a little too much. She had mentioned Seg, as her son-in-law? He turned his face towards her, eyebrows furrowing a little with the news. "Heh.. funny you mention that," he said. "I met Seg during the war. Fought for him and his pack. I met him through a friend of mine, a pack member name Black Rain."
The reminescing was good to him. Wars did not bother him as much as it did some, he had seen his fair share on his travels. And thinking about Black Rain and Seg brought a deep smile to his face. Black Rain was one of his only friends on the mountain. Funny that he was an evil wolf with a good spirit and soul. Very funny indeed. "I only met Seg briefly, but I liked him. He's loyal to his pack, very caring. And the Ice Pack definitely loves him in turn. He's a good leader. I bet your proud of your daughter for finding him."
Kage hadn't really known much about Hayden's daughter. He didn't even know if she was around still or not. Hoping he hadn't caused problems by mentioning her, Kage layed his head down on his paws and closed his eyes. They were heavy and dry. It felt really good to lay down here with Hayden. He continued to listen intently, listening for any emotion she might let out. He could tell things had been troubling her and wished he didn't make them worse just now...
