The zinc wolf sighed, relieved that Hayden wasn't injured.. or dead. He nuzzled her, feeling her warm fur on his cheek with delight. There was something about her that worried him, a loss of willpower. It was definetly there, like she had given up all hope of something.
"Of course it's me," he said as soothingly as he could. "Hayden, I've been looking for you for ages! What have you been up to!?"
Everything in his tone told her of the worry he had been through over her. The endless hours of searching for her had taken its toll on him, fur looking rather weathered and dirty, eyes a little weary from sleepless travel. He fixed her once more with his mismatched stare, hoping she didn't think him a mirage... Or worse, be angry with him.
