Hayden's lengthened ears twitched slightly at the stimulation of incoming footfalls. They were hurried footfalls. Hayden was unwilling to contribute enough cognition to the identification of this incoming creature using her nose or eyes, as she was in no mood to move. Plus, after witnessing the abilities of Linta to identify by footstep, Hayden couldn't help but want to try it out. But the only thing she was able to really determine was that the runner was in a hurry. Which wasn't very helpful.
But finally, a voice came, and she had to double guess herself and her sanity. She forced herself to blink a few times and lift her head. The voice came again, this time closer. Her head shook slightly. "Kage?" She asked groggily. It was strange if he just came out of nowhere. She looked over to where the voice came from, and there he stood. She had to double guess her eyes this time. She inwardly hoped she wasn't dead, but something told her that she wasn't. "Kage, is it really you?"
