About 2 1/2 years ago I posted here asking if anyone had any information about my GGG-Grandmother Baucke Tjaden, born 10 Dec 1780. She was married to Harm Janssen, born 8 Jan 1781, and their daughter Foolke (or Fohlke?) Harms, born Jan 24, 1806, in Leezdorf, Germany, is connected to my maternal grandmother Hinrichs line.
Although I was never able to find my Baucke on your site, I did discover that she was the daughter of Tjade Ludwigs, born 1748, and Folcke Corneljes, and the sister of Ludwig Tjaden, born 15 Feb 1774, and Heike Tjaden, born 1 Jan 1788. Maybe sharing this here will help someone else looking for a lost ancestor!
It is always such a treat to visit your site, especially the picture of the church at Forlitz-Blaukirchen. My maternal grandfather Philip Hoodjer was baptized there along with many of his siblings. In the 1890s, when he was a young boy, he and his family emigrated to Iowa. I was lucky enough to be able to visit this beautiful little church and village in 1998.
