She was a daughter of Tjade and Heimke Schmidt Tjaden and one of the sister of my ggrandfather, Harm Tjaden. She was named Gertje Tjaden but all the references I've seen, outside of the church record in Nebraska where she was baptized, refer to her as Kate. She is included in a photo of the Illinois Tjadens in the "ancient pictures" part of this website (it's the eighth photo on the page).
Scott Tjaden, who posted the message right after yours, is also a cousin.
