No, Jessica, I don't think you're related to my part of the Tjaden family The name "William" in my family began with my father (born Sept. 3, 1920 in Passaic, NJ). He was named after his maternal grandfather, William Dobbins, an Irishman who was not especially liked by the British forces occupying Ireland at the time. One day, in the mid 1800's, the Brits grabbed Bill Dobbins and threw him on a boat bound for America. I suppose it could have been worse. The boat could have been bound for someplace in the third world.
