This is an amazing resource! I found this site tonight quite by accident after doing a search for "Forlitz-Blaukirchen." My GGG/Grandmother was Baucke Tjaden, and was born Dec 10, 1780, and died Feb 5, 1858. She was married to Harm Janssen, and their daughter was Foolke (or Fohlke?) who was born Jan 24, 1806, in Leezdorf, Germany. I have no information on Baucke's parents, or where she was from. I looked through the family trees and found some Bauckes listed, but did not find my Baucke! If any one has any info, I would love to know. Even if there is no connection with any of the Tjaden lines listed here, it's been a treat to see your site, especially the picture of the church at Forlitz-Blaukirchen. My grandfather Philip Hoodjer was baptized there (along with many of his siblings). His family came to Iowa when he was a young boy.
