Posted by Amy Robbins-Tjaden Hildebrand Roolfs TJADEN was born 26 September 1839 in Engerhafe, Ostfriesland, a son of Gerjet Tjaden MEMMINGA and Elisabeth Rohlfs HILDEBRANDTS. He immigrated to Peoria Co, Illinois aboard the vessel Louise, arriving 6 October 1857 at 17 years of age. He is listed as a farmer in Cazenovia, Woodford Co, Illinois in the 1878 edition of the book History of Woodford County Illinois. Another book published the same year, Past and Present of Woodford County, Illinois lists "Hilbrand TJADEN, saloon; P.O. Benson". He is listed in the 1900 census in Bristow Pct, Boyd Co, Nebraska with his family: JADEN, Hildebrand R., b 1839, farmer Another son, Harm, b 1874, is listed as a boarder in Bristow Pct, Boyd Co, Nebraska. In the 1910 census for Box Butte Co, Nebraska I found one George JADEN, 28, b Illinois Here's what I'd like to know: What happened to this line of my TJADEN family? I would love to find out the rest of the story. Cheers,
