Posted by Dave UK You speak SO much sense in your last column for Slam! Everything now seems to be just about "your look" - or the creative push (which normally runs out of steam when the guy can't tell a story in the ring, or the gimmick doesn't get over); bring back the men who've truly paid their dues and learnt the hard way... hard hard work, crap money, crap travelling etc. It's the same in any other business - you don't walk in as CEO when you're young, why should it be different in wrestling? In everything in life, we are the product of our experience. Unfortunately a side-product of WWE's dominance recently is that it gives the impression that if you're really big, crazy, whatever, that will work. Being able to really "work a match" seems to have been overlooked, yet the few that can always pull out a great bout no matter who they've been booked to fight. Lots more should be done by the big players to train potentials, and some of this does happen. But you can't train experience, ring-savvy or charisma. Looking forward to seeing you in action again soon JD, hopefully we'll get the shows here! All the best,
