The " Hong Kong Veteran Wall " was unveiled last Saturday in Ottawa. I was quite surprised to find my namesake Andre Normand's name on the memorial. The story of the Hong Kong veterans has touched me greatly. I have done quite a bit of reading on this tragedy... the book " Guests of Hirohito " by Dr Ken Cambon ( deceased ), originally from Quebec City depicts the hardships suffered by these valiant men..( out of print but a copy is available at Morrin College Library in Quebec City .André Normand
