: Kong(one day belated it may be), I wanted to
: give a word of thanks to all those who
: served and defended Hong Kong in 1941. I
: was born in Hong Kong but sadly did not
: fully appreciated until recently, the impact
: and sacrifice by all those who were there
: then, especially the many Canadians, who
: through their courage and determination,
: truly showed who the winners were in the
: Battle of Hong Kong. I am only saddened
: that not more people, both connected and
: unconnected to Hong Kong, recognise the
: tremendous sacrifices that were made by
: those men and women and their families.
