Today my band, The Regimental Band of the Royal Winnipeg Rifles, played for an unveiling ceremony of a plaque in honour of the Hong Kong Veterans from the Winnipeg Grenadiers at Brookside Cemetery. We were greatly honoured and privileged to participate in this event. I wish to extend to all veterans our heartfelt thanks and appreciation for their service to Canada, and to freedom.
