I have been reading Ed Shayler,s notes with great interest. My father was also a P.O.W in the Far East. His name is Ron Shayler and was also secretary of the J.L.C.S.A unfortunately he has now passed away. I believe he was at Changi and then Panang The surname Shayler is not all that common , and to have 2 sharing the surname and both being POW,s is quite something Regards Chris Shayler
