We have a 1967 Colin Archer 40' double-ender that needs keel boats replaced
as well as other work. Do you know of a boatyard/marina that we could move
our boat to and do the work ourselves. We've been working on and sailing
this old boat since 1992 and, we have her in Texas now and she's deteriorating
cosmetically due to the harsh summer sun. We love her and don't want her
to deteriorate anymore. She needs a cooler climate and some attention.
We aren't rich and will need to find a place with reasonable slip rents for a
full time location with 6 months liveaboard status. We'd like to live on her
while in the boatyard from 4/02 - 10/02 and, then, we'd need to have her in
a storage place for the first year then, the following spring we'd like to put her
in the water and sail her around your area.
