The dates for the international submariners convention are 14 to 18 May 2004 in Odessa. Glad you two guys are interested as it could be a great adventure. My inclination is to fly to London and take the train all the way there. Check out the website www.seat61.com. this site has a wealth of info and the trains look great and it is a more civilized way to travel plus you meet more of the local people. I took the train from Leningrad to Vladivostok and it was fantastic. Will keep you posted
