Posted by Merrell Henry We were on a patrol with a number of guests who occoupied the space directly across from the sick bay/photo lab. These guests never associated with the crew and were all radiomen from the rates on their dress uniforms. The Officer in charge of the group was not a friendly person at all. One day he came over and borrowed our poloroid camera. The next time I used the camera his negative came out. I called him and asked him to come to sick bay (their area was off limits to me) and he was very nasty. When I gave him the "negative" however, without telling anyone else on board, he became friendly and was very nice the rest of the patrol.

You may remember that on the old Poloroid cameras, when a photo was taken out of the camera, it left a "negative" in the camera thus when you tore off photo one, the negative was left until photo 2 was taken off. We two corpsmen were also the ships photographers.
