Hello all,
my name is Trey Dixon, i am Jim Dixon's (obie) son. I knew no other way to tell you all so an e-mail has to do.
Monday, June 16 in the early morning hours my father passed away. He had a surgical procedure June 4 and after several days in the ICU he lost his battle in recovery and passed.
We honored his wishes today and sprinkled his ashes into the Weekee Wacki river.
This is a sad time for all of us but my dad wouldn't want anyone to morn his death. He lived life with a smile on his face and wanted everyone else to do the same. I ask that each of you think of my father and all the good times, the jokes, the great stories, and especially his contagious laugh.
For all his poker buddies, please play one last hand for him.... win or lose, the man loved to play poker.
There is no need to send flowers or do anything special, just remember my dad in your own way.
I will be checking his e-mail for a while so if you feel compelled please respond to this e-mail.
My father loved you all very much... Thank you for being in his life.
