The Department of the Navy has given approval to transfer the sail of the Triton to us and we are attempting to create a park on the Columbia River for its display. You may or may not know it is scheduled for salvage starting in October of this year. We have been working with the Puget Sound Naval Shipyard in coordinating the transfer. To all the Triton crew members. I received this email message yesterday from Marv Kinney who is involved with the Port District in the State of Washington, notifying me that the Sail of the Triton is to be saved and put on display there.
