Hi Kimberly, I knew your dad quite well. We were in the TRITON Commissioning crew together. He was a young LT and I was A Chief Petty Officer. He was a terrific "Officer and Gentleman". I never served with an officer who worked harder, or was more dedicated to his profession. I remember one occassion ,during construction power plant testing on TRITON when he had to be carried off the ship from sheer exhaustion. I was fortunate to be selected for Ensign during the TRITON's cruise around the World and your Dad was one of those Wardroom members that welcomed into their group and made me feel comfortable in transitioning from enlisted status. I was fortnate to have served with your Dad again on the COMSUBLANT Staff in Norfolk,VA, Where he served as Deputy Chief of Staff for Logisics (N-4),and was selected for Flag rank. I had retired and was serving as a GS-13 in the N-4 Division and again benefited from his tremendous leadership and managerial skills. His sudden passing was a shock! He was always such a strong and dynamic leader. I am sure you know that, and are as proud of his life and srervice to the Navy and our country, as I am to have served with him.
