There are a couple of pour ons that will get the biting lice..My choice is Ivermectin used as a pour on from the base of the head to the tail.. Iuse 1cc per 25lbs and dribble it down the backline.. the injectable ivermectin gets the sucking lice but not the biting lice.. Also there is a louse called the angora biting louse.. and it looks and acts very similar to the biting louse.. pour on ivermectin works well on this too. Use his AS a pour on.. not orally.. I know there has been much discussion in the past of how it is dangerous to use a pour on with goats. BUT I spoke with Dr Frank Craddock from Texas A&M and he specializes in angora goats.. parasites and thier control and he told me not to worry about using the pour ons AS pour ons. The adverse reactions are far and few between. I have always trusted hs word.
