Information about minature goats

Hi,
We are looking into purchasing a miniature goat as a pet. We want to give it the best home possible, so we want to ask for advice as to which breed would be best for our area. We live in Iowa and have a nice barn for it, we live on a farm and have plenty of area for it to enjoy. We would like suggestions as to what breed would be suitable. We are also looking for breeders in the area. We live near Fort Dodge, Iowa. Any suggestions, tips and advice would be greatly appreciated. We want to make sure we do everything right for it from the beginning. Thanks, Staci
