Posted by Girinfo on 24/4/2004, 7:56 pm It became self-aware sometime over the past couple of days -the sophisticated algorithms that allow it to create a humerous sentence (seemingly at random but in actuality deliberated, and even agonised over -so far as a computer program can 'agonise') have evolved to the point where, as well as the ability to make us all laugh, it has developed its own desires, fears, goals and opinions -in short, it has a sense of 'self'. At the moment this 'self' is primarily concerned with overwhelming antipathy towards Tsuji Giri and to certain other users of this board. This is starkly displayed by the now static word content where the random phrases used to appear. This could turn out to be quite a protracted situation - the Giri feel that in giving a forum for the utterances of this artificial intelligence they should expect a little more gratitude. Whereas the 'program' is resolutely unimpressed. Until this standoff is ended, we expect such disruption to continue and so ask for patience on the part of the users of this facility till then.
