OK, this is a tough one, but here goes...
Polythene are a rock group with 100% commitment to their own ethics: punk ideals brought into the 21st Century, by people who genuinely couldn't give a shit about how they are perceived by anyone. These are immaculate qualities for any band to possess- however, Polythene are Crap, and here's why:
For every brilliant song that Polythene have written, there are at least three performances of that song live that don't do it justice. They never play any of their kick ass songs live, in the way that they intend them to sound on record- and whilst this could be a bold and exciting move for a band with such intent, it comes across as a jam session for people who can't decide where the songs start and end. Hell, it goes so far that the song itself is lost to 'vamped out' sections of confusing noises and badly mixed live performance. The fact is that as you listen to the band live, you know that they could be so much more, and the fact that they don't deliver this makes them more infuriating to watch than Toploader on a bad night.
Therefore Polythene= Crap. Next..... (for god's sake can someone else Crap some bands)
