One problem with Blonde Redhead is that their current approach to recording will not translate into a live show which accurately represents the sound that they currently favour. Sure, it's good, lush pop music, but all you will get live is the sound that the band were able to create from previous records, when the recordings were 'stripped down' . Whilst you might argue that this could lead to fresh interpretations of their songs, ultimately any fan of the album will have to 'make do' with a sized down sound. Also, if you prefer Blonde Redhead's earlier work, you can be sure that next to none of it will we played on their next tour, despite the band's line up being more suited to this material. Musically very soild, if a little polished now, the style of both vocalists can become very repetitive to the point of... uninspiring. Tough band to slate. Next.
