Both of them went inside. Janet went up stairs and turned on the water in the tub. She got undress and tossed her clothes out in the hall where Mrs. Edward's was waiting. Janet stepped into the old fashioned claw tub, the hot water felt good as she stepped in.
Mrs. Edward's was already down stairs washing the clothes. Janet sitting in the tub, fell into a deep sleep. At least an hour passed when she was startled by a pounding on the bathroom door.
"Janet! Are you OK?"
Janet rose up quickly splashing water on the floor.
"Yes. I'm fine. I must have fallen asleep."
"Ok Just wanted to give you your clothes." Mrs Edwards said.
Janet's eyes got wide with shock when she asked
"Your done with them already?"
"Yes child."
"I'm sorry Mrs. Edward's. I must be overly tired from the heat."
"That's all right. I'm just going to set your clothes out side the door."
Hearing Mrs. Edward's walking from the door by the sound of those heavy shoes she wore. Janet stepped out of the tub, reaching for the towel to dry herself with. After drying, she went to the bathroom door leading to the hall and opened it. Looking to the ground, there were her clothes, folded neatly.
She reached out picking them up, and stepped back into the bathroom shutting the door. She dressed and reached for the hair brush on the counter, to brush her hair. With in a few minutes Janet was done, and headed down stairs calling out.
"Mrs Edward's!"
A voice came from the living room.
"In here dear."
Janet walked into the living room. There Mrs. Edwards's was sitting on the couch and the satin running next to her draped over the back of it.
"Feel refreshed?" She asked.
"Yes. Thank you." Janet answered.
Janet looked to the window, she watched the branches of the tree moving in the wind, and the rain hitting the glass of the window.
"Wind is still blowing, and it's still raining." Janet said.
"Looks that way." Mrs Edward's said as she turned and peered to look out the window.
Janet pondered for a moment, she noticed an expression on Mrs. Edward's face she had never seen before. This was making Janet feel a little uncomfortable, giving Mrs. Edward's a smile.
"Well Mrs Edward's. I don't think were going to get anything else done today. So if you don't mind. I'll take off."
Janet reached for her suit and took the pants and jacket. She was about to place her foot in the legging of the pants, when Mrs. Edward's cleared her throat. Janet stopped, standing on one foot looking at her.
"About your suit Janet?" Mrs Edward's commented.
Janet grinned and answered
"Yes. About my suit. What were you doing with it all this time?" She asked.
"Well I would not put it on just yet. I need to explain what I did."
Janet moved her foot away from the legging and placed it on the ground.
"What. Did you put itching powered in it or something." Janet grinned.
"No. I cast a spell on it.
Janet gave the old woman an odd look.
"You cast a spell on it." She repeated in an odd tone.
Mrs Edward's gave a sigh.
"Yes. Janet you have been so good to me, and the way you handled that situation this morning with those boys. You are a very caring person. So I granted your request with a spell.
Janet looking more confused.
"Request? What Request?" She asked.
"The request of growing larger." Mrs Edward's expressed.
Now more confused then ever.
"Growing larger? What......What are you talking about?" Janet asked.
"Don't you remember telling me that if you could grow larger, you could have delt with those boys. So I cast a spell on the suit, and it can now make you grow larger."
Janet smirked, thinking this was some joke. But kept her composure and said.
"Wait. So you mean to tell me, if I put on this suit. I will grow big."
Mrs. Edward's gave a grin.
"Yes. Now you've got it. But there is a little more to it than that."
Janet gave a quick snort. She could hardly keep from laughing.
"Ok. I'm game. Explain to me how it works." She asked, trying to keep a straight face.
Mrs. Edward's could tell Janet was not believing her, she started to get upset with Janet.
"Do you want to hear this or not?" Mrs. Edwards asked in a stern manner.
Gathering all her strength to keep from laughing. Janet answered.
"Go ahead. I'm listening." She said covering her mouth to hide the uncontrolable smile.
Mrs. Edward's started to explain.
"When you put on your suit. The zipper is the key to the size you want to be. By zipping up the jacket you will grow. The mroe you zip it up the larger you will get. But the urge to grow even bigger will get even stronger so you must fight this urge. But never zip it up all the way Janet. Because if you do, you will continue to grow and grow, you won't stop. This spell is very powerful.
Janet stared at Mrs Edward with no expression. Then she started grinning, the grin turned to snickering, then into uncontrollable laughter.
"HA! HA! HA! HA! That's a good one Mrs. Edward's I always new you had a good sense of humor. Janet said as she laught.
Mrs Edward's stood up looking angry at Janet. Janet continued to laugh at her. But noticed that Mrs. Edward's was not laughing. Janet quickly got her laughter under control, and looked at Mrs Edward's.
"What?" Janet asked.
Mrs. Edward's didn't answer. Janet studied the old womans stern look. Janet realized saying.
"Your...your really serious aren't you."
"Yes I am."
Janet got a sorrowful look on her face.
"I'm sorry Mrs. Edwards. I didn't mean to hurt your feelings. But to tell me something like this, is just not possible. How did you expect me to react."
Mrs Edward's firmly answered
"I would have expected someone like you to keep an open mind about such thing Janet. But perhaps I was wrong about you. She said angrily.
Janet know she hurt the the old womans's feeling went up to her and put her hand on her shoulder.
"I'm sorry. I didn't mean to hurt your feelings. You mean the world to me, if what you are telling me is true and your willing. I will try it. Just tell me what I need to do.
Janet said this to save face with Mrs. Edward's knowing to her and every body else in the world that no one can just grow taller by the way she had explained it. She thought it must have been the medication she was on or something, effecting her mind.
Mrs. Edward's looked at Janet with a frown, but slowly went to a smile.
"OK! But I want you to do exactly what I tell you." She firmly said.
"Ok I will." Janet said.
Mrs. Edwards spoke.
"Now feel the material of your suit. Does it feel any different?"
Janet ran her hand over the smooth satin, she got goose bumps from the feel of it.
"Yes it does feel different to me. More sleek, and looks more shinny. It gives me goose bumps."
Mrs Edward's smiled and answered.
"Yes. You are feeling the power of it. You would not have really noticed it if I had not pointed it out to you. Now put it on."
Janet still not believing her decided to humor the old woman, but wondered why her suit felt different. Maybe it was the bath she had, and she just felt cleaner, or something in the bath wonder made her skin more sensetive. Janet put her foot into the legging of the satin pants and pulled wpward. Then did the same with the other leg, and pulled the pants up to her waist. Janet shuttered at a cold chill that went threw her body.
"Crap. It feels so silky. It's never felt this way before. She commented to Mrs Edward's.
"OK. Now put on the jacket. But don't zip it up.
Janet reached for the jacket, placing her hand in the sleeve, and pulling it upward to her shoulder. The feeling of the satin material was really affecting Janet. She shook it off and reached back with her other hand and placed it in the other sleeve and pulled it upward toward her shoulder, and adjusted the jacket on her shoulders to where it had a comfortable fit.
Janet looked to Mrs. Edwards for more instructions.
"OK. Now just connect the zipper, BUT DON'T ZIP IT UP!" Mrs. Edward's firmly said.
Janet meekly nodded. She reached for both ends of the jacket and connected the zipper, then looked to Mrs. Edwards.
"Ok Janet. Zip it just a little. I mean just a fraction of an inch."
Janet pulled the zipper upward just a few notches and waited, but nothing was happening.
"OK. Now what? Janet asked folding her arms acrossed her chest to as to prove a point.
"Just wait." Mrs Edward's said.
Janet started to feel something, the suit was forcing her arms down to her sides, her muscles stiffed up to where she could not move. But this did not hurt Janet. Her legs stiffened up as well Janet looking shocked said loudly.
"WHAT THE?"
