IF YOU LISTEN TO THE DEVIL'S LIES by Gene Minix The garden was alive In grand beauty it was abounding. To walk amidst the peace of it Was nothing short of astounding. And it was all Adam and Eve's. What a beautiful home! And only of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil Were they to leave alone. It was a paradise for sure. No sickness, no need there. And in joy walked Adam and Eve In their world without a care. But one day, the devil stopped by And he had lies to say. Poor Eve listened to those lies, Oh, what a sad and dark day. She took of the fruit That God had said, "No". And gave to Adam to eat And he did.......and so....... From the beautiful garden They were forced to leave that day. And if you listen to the devil's lies, You, too, will have to pay. And it's an awful cost! So be careful what you do. Keep your eyes on God each day And don't let it happen to you. © Copyright 2011, by Gene Minix. All rights reserved. |
