I'm trying to find information on the Harrises who came from Granville Co. NC to Elbert Co. in the late 1700's. In particular, I'd like info on Tryon Harris, b. abt.1775 (I believe to Christopher Harris). They were found in land records for Franklin & Elbert Counties around 1800 or so with Darvin Harris & Cuthbert Hudson also of Elbert Co.
Tryon married Elizabeth "Betsy" first (unknown children) and then Sarah Alexander, dau. of Edmund Alexander. Their children were William Tryon Harris (b. 1826)and Jeptha P. Harris(b. 1836)....probably others.
If there are any descendants or researchers, I'd like to share information.
