Posted by Richard Wright There was a John Wright who married Elizabeth Walker Sept 31, 1820 in Lincoln County. A John Wright is on the 1830 and 1840 Lincoln County Census. On the 1850 census, there is NO John Wright. Does anyone know anything about this family?? Coincidentially, there were a Benjamin and Samuel Wright on the 1830 census and Benjamin was on the 1840. His age would make it resonable to suspect brothers. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Richard Wright

I am trying to identify the name of my ggggrandfather. He was married to an Elizabeth(b 1797 in Ga.) She shows up in 1850 in Benton County Alabama as Head of household. Something must have happenned to her husband. All known children were born between 1823 and 1834. So he must have died in the late 1830's or in the 1840's.
